in our lives has come and gone!
Time flies when you're having fun. Or when you get older. Both certainy applies in my life!!
This weekend I'm resting. The previous 2 weeks have been a mad house, month end deadlines, birthday demands and appointments (yes believe it or not, own birthdays can be very demanding making cake for all and sundry) and so this week end I get to rest.
Well you have to understand my definition of rest. I refer to rest of the brain. Not necessarily the body. The body recovers in sleep. It's the brain that needs the recovering.
How do I do this? Try and clean my brain? I will be doing some work in the garden. I am building a succulent garden out front our home (I'm referrring to the public pavement area beyond our garden wall). I have to be careful that I don't place anything too enticing for others to steal, or if they do that's it's not a big loss for me. I have acquired several succulents just waiting for me to plant them, today is getting the ground ready. I'm still working on some of the other aspects like what plants will go where etc. I'm not a professional gardener, I sort of plan the stuff and then work around the plan. So long as I know where to start. Not necessarily the right approach I know, but hey, I did say I'm not a pro.
So watch this space, maybe I have aphoto or two in a week or so...
To all those experiencing Autumn/Fall, have fun. It's my favourite season without a doubt, just the awesome weather and colours alone inspire me. I love reading your stories in other parts of the world, I think that's what so amazes me of blogging and the internet...the ability to see what others are doing and experiencing....We are having Spring here south, though weather-wise we only had Spring for one week and went straight into summer!! Today we might be having some cooler weather as a cold front comes past...almost ideal garden work...gotto clear the brain....let's hope we have lift-off!!
Have a good one where ever you are, whatever you do...
LG

Have a wonderful weekend resting with your garden.;) I too find absolute relaxation in gardening.
I do enjoy autumn, and indeed today is a gorgeous, but chilly day. But then I wish for snow for December and after the clock strikes midnight on New Year, I wish spring would arrive.
I detest the long months of January through March, when everything is barren and depressive.
So I would much rather have your spring and summer.;) Enjoy it for me as well,
xoxo
I'm looking forward to seeing a photo of your succulent garden. I hope your mind gets the rest it desires. Have a wonderful weekend there in your spring/summer world.
Enjoy your gardening. I look forward to the photos... Autumn here so cool weather prevails:)
Gardening not only rests the brain its good for the soul also. Can't wait to see some photos.
The spring weather here has been all over the place. We've been having 4 seasons in 1 day. I'm looking forward to a much more settled summer.
Autumn is also my favourite season.
