"The Scent of Water"

" An individual has not started living until he (she) can rise above the narrow confines of his (her) individualistic concerns to the broader concerns of all humanity". Dr Martin Luther King quoted in this amazing book I am reading http://www.amazon.com/Scent-Water-Grace-Every-Broken/dp/0310327377/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1302884272&sr=1-1 It is said when you have pain, try reach out to or try understand someone else in pain. Not to find comfort in their pain perhaps being worse than yours, but to realise you're not alone in this world, there are many hurting people out there. And then you gain some perspective perhaps in your own pain. So with a hole in my heart that doesn't get smaller, my head full of words and sounds and memories that won't settle or go away, I finally picke dup this book. Into chapter 3 I can almost say I have found some solce. Even if just for the time being. At least it helps lessen the noise in my head and the pain in my heart for a few hours... It's a good book thus far. It has some shocking stories. It might not suit you all of course, but right now, it suits me just fine... LG
