So forgive me if something is wrong somewhere.
I have hoped to join this as firstly I have been neglecting my blog over the last many months, with all my studies and work, time is few....And I liked what I saw on Joyce's blog so decided to give it a go. (BTW my mom's twin sister is called Aunty Joyce. not same one though no...)
So here's my version....
1. What is something that bothers you if not done perfectly?
Well I'm not a perfectionist in any way but my mom always told me, if something's worth doing do it right first time. In that way you don't waste your time redoing it and someone else's time waiting for you. Even though I'm not a perfectionist (I stress this please!) I do apply my mom's philosophy first time round to most if not all things I do at work and at home. I dislike any half done job unless done by a small child or done by someone and God bless them, they did try their utmost....However, one area I need to apply this more is something called home clutter........!!!!
2. Do you think a 6th sense exists? Explain
Most certainly. Call it 6th sense. Call it Guidance from Above, Within...whatever. A simple example, I was driving home late one evening from working overtime at month end, close to midnight in fact, home is about 25kms (10-15 miles?) from work on quiet country roads (not highways - good news always quiet country roads even in the mornings!!) Anyway, I was driving 'normal' speed of about 100/120 km/hr (about 70-80 miles an hr?) but it was almost midnight, quiet roads and I was tired and 'something' said to me "slow down right now". I immediately eased off the pedal and went around a corner and there right slap bang in the middle of the road was a horse just standing still. I could brake without hitting him or running off the side of the road. I chased him off the road for his and others' safety and continued home at the sedate pace of 80km/hr (about 50 miles/hr?) I have always believed in 6th senses...
3. Do you say your goodbyes slowly quickly or not at all?
First of all I believe in goodbyes, and need to greet my loved ones friends and family at funerals at the coffin. I have a big sense of loss (and in really close-to-the-heart loved ones) I don't get personal closure if I don't. As for goodbyes, depends who it is and the circumstance. If someone is going on a journey "for ever away" or for a time long enough to almost classify as such, and that someone is very close to me, yes I'll hang around until the journey has physically taken them away from me. Others not so close or dear to me, I say goodbye and move on.
4. On a scale of 1-10, with 10 being hot hot hot, what level of spice do you like in your food? What is your favorite spicy dish?
I like some spicy food, can eat for example 'Real" Indian curry - but a level 6-7 on real Indian Curry is hot enough for me!! I do add some curry regularly to my dishes - in the winter at least 1x-2x a week!! I like spicy chicken/Lamb curry....
5. What is one of your all time favorite commercial jingles?
I can't admit to liking any commercial jingles!!! Sorry!!
6. Plane, train, boat or auto...your preferred method of travel?
I have flown several times - but plane remains at the bottom of my list. In fact though I do prefer a small plane to a big one though, even if the ride is more bumpy. Once up in the air, it's glorious but all those tummy twisting moments getting there don't impress me much!! We don't do train riding in our country much (not necessarily safe), but I travelled by train in Switzerland and what a pleasure!!! I love sailing, though haven't sailed much in the last 20 years, instead I watch the Volvo Ocean Around the World trips to get my sailing morphs!!! So leaving all the above, Auto remains the regular form of transport for me, though our roads where I live are disastrous. I also have a mild case of what some can call "narcolepsy" which is almost "fall asleep at the sound of the wheels turning", so driving auto long distance becomes a real pain for me as if alone I have to regularly stop on the side of the road to wake up (regularly being every what 30km? 200 miles?)
7. What is something you take for granted?
Probably health, but seeing I am the unhealthy one of us two, (despite I actually make healthier choices than hubbie ie don't smoke drink too much eat fatty foods etc) I am starting a mild exercise routine again end August in an effort to lift my health results a bit...
8. Insert your own random thought here
I blog to write about my thoughts. I won't say I'm a must be writer, butI do like to get my thoughts down before my brains becomes overloaded. I also do enjoy writing as such. I however spend way toomuch time working and studying after hours tobe a dedicated blogger but I like the interaction with bloggers from all over the world thus my attempts at keeping a blog running.
At the current status in my life I'm in my mid forties with two teenage girls. Yes, I need all the Prayers I can get. My girls too obviously. Somehow we will get through this all, but boy it can be tiring and sometimes despairing but we start all over again, each time any one of us makes a 'mistake'.
Hope to see you around
LG

I'm the mom of two girls too. They're in their early 20's now and they keep me young. Or maybe make me old depending on the day : )
I'm glad you joined the HP this week!
